The All India Plastics Manufacturers’ Association (AIPMA) along with Flexible Packaging Industries and Traders Association (FPITA) has launched a collective EPR Activity to facilitate association members in order to help them to fulfill their EPR compliances.

The working model will be as follows:

WORKING MODEL OF EPR ACTIVITY

As illustrated, in Process Flow - Producers, Brand Owners will get registered under AIPMA for their EPR Activity. AIPMA has made synergistic alliance with the waste management companies, who acts as an execution partner and is responsible for all the activities from collection to recycling / Co-processing of plastic waste.

AIPMA has shortlisted following Waste Management Companies:

  • Nepra Resource Management Private Limited
  • Sampurn(e)arth Environment Solutions Pvt. Ltd.
  • Shakti Plastic Industries
  • Swachh Sustainable Solutions Pvt. Ltd.
  • Dalmia Polypro Inds Pvt. Ltd.
  • Central India EPR Corporation
  • PRO India Recycling

Eco Credit Flow - After successful completion of the process, an Eco-credit i.e. Certificate of Recycling / Co-processing will be provided to AIPMA by Recycler / Co-processor. On this basis, further AIPMA will issue a Certificate of Recycling/ Co-processing to the registered companies as per their specified EPR quantum, which will ensure the fulfilment of EPR activity of a particular company for that particular quantity and period.

For Monolayer plastic waste, currently AIPMA is associated with Sampurn(e)arth Environment Solutions Pvt. Ltd., as an execution partner and made an initial agreement of more than 50 MT/ month Monolayer plastic waste. Sampurn(e)arth in association with other partners performed the activities of collection, segregation and recycling on behalf of AIPMA. After completion of the process, the registered recycler provided a Certificate of Recycling to AIPMA and Sampurn(e)arth provided the supporting documents of the process to AIPMA.

For Multilayer packaging (MLP) plastic waste, AIPMA got associated with Swachh Sustainable Solutions Pvt. Ltd. (Raddiconnect) and Ultra Tech Cement Ltd. for this process. For this activity, 10.96 MT of Multilayer Packaging (MLP) plastic waste from Dahisar region was purchased from Raddiconnect and later delivered to Ultra tech Cement Ltd. at their Dhar, Madhya Pradesh Cement kiln plant for the End of life solution. After the successful co-processing of MLP waste, Ultratech Cement Ltd. issued the ‘Certificate of Co-processing’ to AIPMA and Swachh Sustainable Solutions Pvt. Ltd. (Raddiconnect) provided the supporting documents of the process to AIPMA.

On these basis, AIPMA distributes the Eco-credits i.e. Certificates among its registered members as per their specified requirements for their EPR Compliances for that particular quantum and period.

This process will ensure that the plastic waste is recycled / co-processed properly, contributing towards environment protection.

AIPMA engages Waste Management Companies, who acts as an execution partner and is responsible for complete EPR from Collection to Recycling.

After successful completion of the process, AIPMA issues a Certificate of Recycling / Co-processing to the registered members which ensures the fulfilment of EPR requirement of the member's company for a specified quantity and period.
