AIPMA has come a long way over these past 75 years. Through the years AIPMA has expanded and progressed by leaps and bounds in all fields of Plastics.

The All India Plastics Manufacturers' Association works to serve the industry with clarity to empower processing industry with tools to leverage opportunities for its growth. Our areas of focus have been advocacy, skilling initiative, conduction of webinar, taking a step ahead into the educational vertical and internal strengthening of the association.

On the advocacy front, AIPMA take various opportunities to interact with several key officials and Ministers in the new open regime to present our point of view to address various issues of the Plastic Processing Industry and provide our set of representations/ suggestions.

We at AIPMA have a vision to ensure a sustainable approach to plastic and its impact on the environment. We understand the need of protecting and conserving the environment and believe it is a social responsibility. Therefore, AIPMA has extended its support towards handling the Plastic Waste by collaborating with Keshav Srushti for a Plastic Waste Management project in to make 50 waste compliant model villages. This initiative is aimed to focus on spreading awareness on Plastic Waste Management. The co-development of 50 waste compliant model villages comprises of Education, waste management, sanitation, farming, renewable energy, skill development, water supply and character building making Carbon Neutral Villages in Palghar District of Maharashtra.

Due to the lockdown, e-learning emerged as the most effective option. AIPMA organized more than 45 webinars on various topics of significance for the MSME’s in the last few months & each one of the webinars was a great success witnessing participation in huge numbers. The sessions gave a chance to the MSME’s to seek insights from experts with global experience into how they can systematically & scientifically move forward with their businesses. AIPMA will continue to organize webinars on valuable topics in order to educate and spread awareness amongst the industry in the area of skill development and strengthening the industry.

AIPMA plans to take forward a step into the domain of Education and Skill Development.  AIPMA in collaboration with NITI Aayog is in the process of establishing the Atal Community Innovation Centre (ACIC), Mumbai. The Atal Community Innovation Centre (ACIC) at Mumbai will serve as the platform for students and professionals from all backgrounds, Innovators, Community People, Free Lancers, Academic professional and large organizations in and around Mumbai and Pune to convert their Ideas into Innovations leading to Marketable Solutions through helping, mentoring, skill development, training and hand holding them.

Also, in order to mainstream the ‘youth’, ‘grabbing aspiring and talented individuals from one industry to another’, AIPMA has launched the center for excellence & innovation- AMTEC. This is first-of-its kind of initiative by a national association for Plastic. It would be road to develop a linkage between industrial partners and job-seekers/ those seeking higher education.
